VETCON 2026: Veterans in Economic Transition Conference, December 1-2, Albany

FVCNY

VETCON, the Veterans in Economic Transition Conference, returns to Albany on December 1 and 2, 2026. It is New York’s leading annual conference focused on veterans’ careers and businesses after service.

What it’s about

VETCON brings veterans together with entrepreneurs, employers, New York State agencies, and industry leaders. Sessions cover career transitions, starting and growing a business, and the state programs available to veterans. In past years the conference has also offered a free job fair and employment preparation for veterans.

Why farmer veterans should consider it

Farming is a business, and many of VETCON’s sessions on entrepreneurship, financing, and state contracting apply directly to farms. It’s also one of the few places where you can talk with several New York agencies in one day, which can save a lot of phone calls.

Before you go

  • Register in advance through the VETCON website.
  • Bring business cards or a short description of your farm and what you’re looking for.
  • Check the schedule ahead of time and mark the sessions on business development and funding.
