Who We Are

About FVC NY

Mobilizing New York’s veterans to build careers in farming, ranching, and food production.

Our Story

The Farmer Veteran Coalition of New York (FVC NY) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit chapter of the national Farmer Veteran Coalition, run entirely by volunteers. We formed to give New York’s veterans and military families a clear path into farming, ranching, and food production - wherever they’re starting from.

We’re a young, growing chapter. We’ve built our statewide network region by region, county by county, connecting veteran farmers to Cornell Cooperative Extension offices, USDA Farm Service Agency programs, conservation resources, and each other.

Our Mission

We mobilize New York’s veterans to feed the Empire State - connecting them to training, funding, land access, and a network of fellow veteran farmers in all 62 New York counties. Whether someone is exploring their first season or growing an established operation, our goal is the same: help veterans build viable, lasting careers in agriculture.

Our Leadership

FVC NY is led entirely by volunteers - many of them farmers, veterans, and advocates themselves - who give their time because they believe in this mission. Every dollar donated goes directly toward connecting veteran farmers to resources, not overhead.
