No service fee and 50% off buy-up premiums for veterans. Covers crops like vegetables, hay, maple sap, and honey.
ELAP: Livestock, Honeybee & Fish Losses
Veterans get a higher payment rate on some losses, like 90% of feed hauling costs instead of 60%. Claims are due March 1.
Crop Insurance Benefits for Veterans
No admin fee, 10 extra points of premium subsidy, and a better replacement yield for up to five years.
Dairy Margin Coverage (DMC)
USDA lists the $100 yearly fee as waived for veterans. 2027 enrollment runs through December 18, 2026.
ARC & PLC for Small Farms
Veterans can get ARC or PLC payments on farms with 10 or fewer base acres, which are normally left out.
